If you have decided to undertake some electrical work or alterations you must now, by law, comply with Part P of the Building Regulations and certain types of work must be notified in advance to your local authority's Building Control department.

Part P of the Building Regulations has been introduced to reduce the number of deaths, injuries and fires caused by faulty electrical installations; and to make it harder for 'cowboys' to leave electrical installations in an unsafe condition.

As registered 'competent persons', K Jones Electrical will deal with all the rules for you; carry out work to British Standard 7671 and, on completion, give you a certificate to prove compliance with the rules.

Additionally, if you don't instruct an approved contractor you may have difficulty selling your home as you won't have the right electrical safety certificates and there will be no guarantee that the installation is even safe!
